Everything right/wrong with the MCU

There are many things that make the Marvel Cinematic Universe what it is today.  Some of these are positive and some are negative.

One of the great things about the MCU is that there is always the opportunity for a character to cross over from one movie to another.  For example when the Falcon showed up in Ant- Man or when Captain America appeared in Thor: The Dark World.

Another great thing about the MCU is that they gave each of the main characters their own backstory and movie before putting them together in the first Avengers movie.  This enables the audience to already care about each of the characters before seeing them interact with each other.

They have mostly done a good job of being creative while still following the source material from the comics.  Except for in Iron Man 3 with the Mandarin character twist.

Despite all of these great things about the MCU it still has some issues.  One issue is that the except for Loki the villains of each movie tend to appear once and then die.  They also don’t give them as much background as the heroes, which makes some sense because they are not the focus of the movies.  I am hoping that Thanos won’t have this issue and that they will show his backstory well in Avengers: Infinity War.

Another issue with the MCU is that although they say everything between is connected between the movies and TV shows that has not always been shown to be the case.  It has generally only gone one direction.  For example in agents of shields and the marvel Netflix shows they have referenced events from the movies, but the movies have not referenced anything from the TV shows.

A third issue with the MCU is that unlike the DCEU they do not have access to all of the Marvel characters from the comics.  Click on the link below to see me explain the issues going on with the movie rights of the marvel characters.
